Washington Paint Stewardship 2013-2014 (SB 5424 / HB 1579)

Paint Stewardship legislation, Senate Bill 5424 and House Bill 1579, was introduced in January 2013 for the 2013-2014 session at the initiative of the paint industry American Coatings Association (ACA).

Oregon Paint Stewardship (HB 2048)

HB 2048 modifies the Oregon Paint Product Stewardship law passed in 2009 (HB 3037). The bill makes the pilot program permanent, and make changes to improve the program for the benefit of consumers buying paint, the paint industry, Oregon’s environment, and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

NAHMMA Policy Statement on Paint Product Stewardship Legislation

The North American Hazardous Materials Management Association advocates for comprehensive state product policy legislation. NAHMMA is in support of legislation establishing paint stewardship systems and believes that paint stewardship legislation, and subsequent rulemaking, must incorporate the principles outlined in this policy statement.
